Time Zone Buddy Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Time Zone Buddy browser extension and website (together, the “Service”). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The service

Time Zone Buddy helps users:

  • Compare time zones
  • Check calendar availability
  • Identify possible meeting times
  • Format and copy meeting options

Time Zone Buddy is an assistive productivity tool. It is not a calendar provider or a booking service, and it does not schedule meetings on your behalf.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and old enough to form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

3. User accounts and connected services

Time Zone Buddy does not require you to create a separate account. Some features require you to connect a third-party account, such as your Google account, to access calendar availability. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your connected accounts and for all activity that occurs through them. You may disconnect connected services at any time.

4. Calendar and time zone information

Suggested meeting times are provided for convenience. You are responsible for reviewing suggested meeting times before sending them to anyone. We do not guarantee:

  • The continued availability of a suggested time slot
  • Perfect time zone accuracy
  • Uninterrupted availability of third-party services
  • Error-free daylight-saving time or location information

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the services it connects to
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent any part of the Service, except as permitted by law
  • Access data or accounts you are not authorized to access

6. Third-party services

The Service works with third-party products, including Google Chrome, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Search. Your use of those products is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and changes to them may affect how the Service works.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, name, and logo, is owned by Time Zone Buddy and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service. You keep ownership of your own content and data.

8. Changes to the service

We may add, change, or remove features of the Service, or suspend or discontinue the Service, at any time and without liability to you.

9. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TIME ZONE BUDDY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING:

  • Missed meetings
  • Scheduling errors
  • Lost business opportunities
  • Incorrect time zone or availability information

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $50.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Florida.
